ipipneo.org collects the numbers behind the 120-item IPIP-NEO in one place: reliability, norms and scoring rules, each with its edition date.
Who publishes it
ipipneo.org is published by JobCannon, which runs the IPIP-NEO-120 test at jobcannon.io. The figures come from results collected there.
How the figures are made
One script reads the raw answer vectors, keys them through the same scoring configuration the test uses, and writes a single data file. The pages here render that file. The script also re-scores every counted result with the production facet scorer and stops if a single facet total differs. The method, step by step, is in the JobCannon IPIP-NEO-120 technical manual.
Updates
Each page names its edition. When the figures are recomputed, the edition date changes and the tables are replaced.
The instrument
The IPIP-NEO-120 is Johnson’s (2014) 120-item inventory, built from items in the International Personality Item Pool (ipip.ori.org), which are in the public domain. NEO and NEO PI-R are trademarks of Psychological Assessment Resources (PAR). This site is not affiliated with PAR.
