How to read a cell

Each cell is the lowest score that places a respondent at that percentile or higher. The percentile is a mid-rank: everyone who scored lower, plus half of those who tied, shown between 1 and 99. A dash means no score reaches that percentile, because so many people share the top score that even its mid-rank sits below it.

Domains: percent of maximum, 0–100

A domain score is the 24-item total divided by its maximum of 96, as a percentage. It is a position on the answer scale, not a percentile, and the five domains sit at different heights: the median Openness score is 66, the median Neuroticism score is 46.

Facets: scores 0–16

A facet total adds four items and takes one of 17 values, so neighbouring percentiles often share a score. That is why the table prints scores, not a smooth curve.

Who is in the sample

Norms are built from 3,011 completed results pulled 2026-10-22, from people who chose to take a personality test on a consumer website. Results from employer invitations and school class links are not included. For an employer or a school the closest comparison is a group of its own, scored the same way.
